Rome
Rome was really good, I got lost a lot!! I made friends with two of the people I was sharing a dorm with, the first night we went to a bar for aperativo, buy a drink help yourself to the buffet, in Rome it's fried veg and bread and salami so tasty! And then the second night we went out for amazing pizza! I had cheese, sausage and chicory, they serve them really thin without tomato! yum! and then we went to see a Beatles cover band at an Irish pub :)
I didn't see anything new in Rome, the gallery I wanted to see I never found and the same with the pizza place I wanted to go to for lunch :( but I had lots of fun, despite the weather and having wet feet non stop for 2 days!! and the delay of 9 hours trying to get back to Notts, but they did give us free food and I was the 3rd person off the plane :)

an escape
I'm heading to Rome tomorrow, I'm running away from this weather, it's due to get worse again on friday, so I figured I'd leave while the trains are still running hehe.
The weather is fine in Rome about 10 degrees and due to rain not snow wooo!!
I've booked myself into an all female dorm at a youth hostel/ guesthouse near the main train station for 2 nights and I'm actually really excited!! It's my first proper trip alone!
I'm going to go that modern art gallery I think I mentioned before and to this bookshop that gets really good reviews and has stained glass windows apparently :)
I'll let you know how it goes when I get to Notts and put up any pictures I take :)

Trips
I'm going to Arezzo to visit Lucy on 24th and we're going to spend saturday in Bologna (fingers crossed for spaghetti bolognese for lunch :) ) as it's only 2 hours from her, she lives in a small town like mine but I think it's a bit bigger!
And then a group of us assistants are going to Verona for a couple of days on 3-4th March! I'm proper excited!
It means all my weekends except one are booked up until 23th March yay!!
Also here's a photo of my mountains...they're finally visible-ish again today.
